Quantitative Insights Consultant - Career progressing agency

Job description

#From partnering with emerging tech start-ups to accelerate their growth through marketing strategies to monitoring young Australians' attitudes towards drugs and alcohol, this high-profile agency delivers data-driven research and insights to move the needle.
A strategic full-service consultancy, they uniquely combine quantitative research, insights, data science, AI, management consulting, and advanced analytics to deliver insights that drive commercial growth, success, and ROI. They are forced to be reckoned with, attracting top talent within the industry, and sink their teeth into meaty strategic and big-picture pieces of work.
Boutique to their core, they've cultivated a culture grounded in collaboration, creativity, and clarity – people love it here. An elite team of 30+, they've collected a shelf of awards for their exceptional employee satisfaction and industry-leading benefits alike: personalised development plans, in-house MBAs, flexible working, exceptional L&D, additional annual leave, sleek open planned offices, wellness programmes, gender-neutral parental leave, PT sessions, amazing social events, strategy days, and 1:1 mentoring.
Excitingly, they are looking for Consultants to join their Melbourne HQ as they step into a new growth phase.
As a consultant, you'll be able to sink your teeth into all elements of the insights process – partnering closely with senior mentors on some of their biggest and most successful commercial client accounts!
Their approach to problem-solving is brief-led, not methodology-led, meaning they work on tailored strategic ad-hoc projects and are always looking for new ways to find answers. You'll have the opportunity to work across an incredibly wide mixture of projects from brand health, pricing architecture, segmentation, advertising effectiveness and customer experience to U&A's, communications testing, innovation, and new product development.
Your days will be a mixture of:
  • Partnering with clients to deeply understand their pain points and problems to see the big picture
  • Supporting seniors with proposals and pitches
  • Designing impactful questionnaires
  • Fieldwork and supplier relationship management
  • Data analysis using technical statistical packages such as Excel, SPSS and Q
  • Translating data into clear stories, solutions, and implementable recommendations
  • Report writing and delivering impactful presentations that give clients that ah-ha moment
  • Putting your creative hat on, constantly sharing new ideas and looking for new solutions
  • 1:1 mentoring from managers
  • Attending internal and external training sessions to accelerate your knowledge
  • Socialising with the team, weather that's over a drink, a game of soccer or birthday cake
 What we're looking for:
  • Consultants with prior experience in research, insights, data, analytics and consulting
  • Experience and confidence managing projects from pitch through to presentation
  • Strategic brains those who can see patterns in data and have an eye for detail
  • Problem solvers who love understanding the why, why and what's next
  • Collaborative team players with exceptional communication skills
  • Ambition, genuine investment in professional and personal growth, coupled with self-awareness
  • Technical capabilities with analytical packages; Excel, Q, SPSS, SQL, R and tableau
