The Indigenous Literacy Foundation (ILF)

The Indigenous Literacy Foundation (ILF) is a national charity of the Australian Book Industry, working with remote Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Communities across Australia.

ILF is Community-led, responding to requests from remote Communities for culturally relevant books, including early learning board books, resources, and programs to support Communities to create and publish their stories in languages of their choice.

Their programs include:

• Book packs for all ages: Providing new books to remote communities.

• Books & resources for early learners: Supplying early literacy kits and playgroup resources in remote communities.

• Books published for and by community: Supporting communities to write, illustrate and publish their own stories in their language or culture.

Resources Group is proud to support The Indigenous Literacy Foundation, and for every placement we make, we gift two new, culturally relevant books to children living in remote Communities across Australia.
