Insight Manager - Shopper and Category Research Consultancy
Job description
Are you an Insights professional looking to step up and make a real impact with some of Australia’s biggest grocery and liquor brands?
We’re partnering with a well-established insights business that works with leading grocery and liquor brands across Australia and New Zealand, many with billion-dollar turnovers. Their proprietary syndicated dataset captures the views of 100,000+ shoppers each year, delivering insight that goes far beyond sales data – from mindset and sentiment through to behaviour and decision-making.
This is a great opportunity for an Insight Manager (3–5 years’ experience) who loves turning data into compelling stories and actionable recommendations.
Why Join?
Meaningful Insights: Work with rich, shopper-level data that brings together quantitative rigour and qualitative depth – helping clients truly understand the why behind the numbers.
Varied & Commercial Briefs: Partner with Buying, Sales, Marketing and Category teams on challenges such as identifying growth opportunities, premiumising categories, pricing and promotions optimisation, and store layouts and planograms.
Best-in-Class Tools & Data: Access market-leading datasets, technology and insight portals across all channels.
Flexibility & Culture: A genuinely flexible working environment where outcomes matter more than hours, backed by a collaborative and supportive team culture.
The Role
Account Support & Ownership: Manage and grow key client relationships with increasing autonomy.
Insight Development: Translate complex data into clear, commercially relevant stories.
Client Engagement: Confidently present insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
Collaboration: Work closely with a high-performing insights team that values idea-sharing and teamwork.
