Hugely exciting opportunity for an experienced Consultancy Director to help shape the consulting offering of this top research & data provider, covering retail finance.

Joining this international firm whose services are a mix of regular research and consulting (plus supportive sector related events & networking opportunities), you will join the senior team and play an integral role in steering additional bespoke consulting opportunities. This is not a line management opportunity as such, although you'll work closely with team/project leaders re assignment delivery. Instead you'll be tasked with scoping, proposal writing, commercial development and ongoing liaison with existing clients (all from retail finance or related) in order to expand and develop the group's bespoke consultancy services.

Rather than requiring someone from a sales/account management background, this role requires extensive consultancy experience at senior level (from strategic consulting or similar perhaps) with strong commercial skills plus the ability to guide project team leaders and team researchers/analysts on the consulting outputs required. You'll have entrepreneurial flair in so doing as this role may appeal to those from consultancy looking to break free from slightly more 'structured' environments which can be a little restrictive vs. their own innovative approaches – especially given you get to ‘grow’ a consultancy service. Knowledge of the retail finance sector (from a quantitative research or market intelligence consultancy perspective) is also ideal.

This organisation offers good hybrid working options and a great team culture - they can't offer sponsorship so only those currently eligible to work in the UK full time (and whose visas can be extended without additional sponsorship requirements post initial expiry) can be considered.
