Social Research Director - Policy Evaluation

The role: Social Research Director – Evaluations
  
As a Senior Member of the Evaluations Division, you'll take responsibility for leading the design, delivery and implementation of quality important social research/evaluation projects for social organisations, government departments and NGO’s.
  
Hands-on with all elements of the process, you’ll be equally confident presenting to c-suites as you will be data analysis and running fieldwork:
  
  • Simultaneously lead, design and deliver evaluation and research projects end to end
  • Design evaluation, mixed-methods, qualitative and quantitative methodologies drawing upon your toolkit - IDI’s, workshop facilitation, focus groups, ethnography, observations, survey design, implementation & desk research.
  • Respond to client briefs, government tenders and writing high-quality proposals
  • Project management, ensuring workflows run to time, budget & scope
  • Client, stakeholder and community engagement
  • Translate data into clear recommendations that inform policy
  • Report writing, contributing to publications & presenting
  • Mentoring, coach and train junior researchers 
 The essentials:
  • 5+ years’ experience in social research, policy development and evaluations
  • Strong qualitative, quantitative and evaluation skills
  • Confidence managing high-profile projects from brief through to delivery
  • Empathy, communication, and an eye for detail
  • Confidence leading client presentations and mentoring juniors
  • A genuine passion for doing good and having a positive impact on society
