Research Consultant

Job description

Looking for a role that’s as diverse as your curiosity? Join one of Australia’s leading research agencies, where commercial smarts meet meaningful social impact.
Why you’ll love it here
  • Genuine & supportive culture – smart, fun, and nurturing. You’ll be surrounded by people who care deeply about clients and each other.
  • Not pigeon-holed – enjoy the rare chance to work across quant and qual, commercial and social, with projects spanning behaviour change, brand strategy, communications, segmentation, customer experience, and more.
  • Immediate application of insights – Zero lengthy social reports. Clients are action-driven and use your work to brief creative teams, shape campaigns, and drive change.
  • Diverse clients – from government departments through to services, retail, finance, energy, and beyond. Recent work includes:
    • Public transport – designing safety campaigns.
    • Marine safety – behaviour change programs.
    • Energy – helping providers trial, pack, and commercialise green innovation.
    • Insurance – innovation and choice modelling
    • Tourism – new opportunities to drive summer tourism for ski resorts
  • Inspirational leadership – your line manager is a huge asset: super passionate, growth-minded, and always looking for ways to do things differently and better. You’ll have a true mentor in your corner.
  • Vibrant environment – Renowned agency. Amazing reputation. Part of a large group an excellent network to leverage. Did I mention the coolest offices in town?
The role
As a Quant-leaning Research Consultant, you’ll:
  • Manage quantitative projects while having the chance to flex into qual.
  • Contribute across the research project full cycle – from design and analysis through to strategic recommendations.
  • Work directly with clients – advising, presenting, and building trusted partnerships.
  • Deliver punchy reporting and strategy that clients apply immediately.
About you
You’ll be a research consultant (around 2–4 years’ experience) who:

  • Has market research agency experience.
  • Is confident with quantitative methods (survey design and strong stats skills), but open to working across mixed methodologies (depth interviews/focus groups)
  • Familiarity with Q or equivalent
  • Loves variety – juggling government, commercial, social, and thought-leadership projects excites you.
  • Thrives on delivering sharp, actionable strategy, not just data.
  • Is client-facing, curious, and collaborative.
Why now?
Here, your career will thrive in an environment that’s intellectually stimulating, supportive, and genuinely fun.
