Research & Strategy Director (Quant) – London – Strategic Consumer Brand Insights

Job description

CEB195

Research & Strategy Director (Quant) – London – Strategic Consumer Brand Insights

Head up a leading telcos account! £65,000 - £80,000 (DOE) + great benefits!

This leading insight consultancy help their clients build long-lasting relationships with their consumers through the use of the latest research tools and an industry-leading ability to put stories together from data.

An exciting opportunity has arisen in the consumer team for a Quant Research Director (or ambitious AD looking for a step up) to come in and head up a key telecoms account and work across the full portfolio of brands within it. This could be creative development work on sports/broadcasting, comms testing for the mobile brand, UX on new tech products, general brand positioning/awareness, customer experience and more!

As Research Director you will be responsible for leading and developing client relationships, as well as managing a team; helping them grow as researchers and acquire the skills needed to deliver strategy through coaching, training and on the job learning. Projects will be B2C and B2B and a mixture of tracking and ad-hoc. It is worth noting that tracking here is not simply working through an endless stream of numbers to write weekly reports, it is heavily focused on delivering mind-blowing outputs - insights that matter and ensure clients have a clear strategy for their brand, so you will need to be a strong presenter who loves delving into the ‘whys?’!

As well as playing a key role in the senior leadership team of this growing business, you will have the opportunity to use some of the latest tools and techniques in consumer brand and communications research. You will help drive transformation within the team, and constantly collaborate with other specialist teams within the agency to deliver outstanding and unexpected business solutions on both new pitches and continued client relationships.

This role is the ideal move for an outstanding quant researcher who embraces new thinking, innovation, and methodologies. An interest and understanding of how data outside primary quant (e.g. qual, social) can add value is absolutely key, as is your ability to be a strong leader for junior researchers in your team. You do not need to be a BD expert, but you must be commercially minded and enjoy presenting to clients, upselling, and building lasting relationships.

In return for your skills and experience you will receive an excellent starting salary plus industry-leading benefits.

The culture at this medium sized agency is also unlike any other! They are open, fun, down-to-earth and entrepreneurial, and the team is full of different personalities from different backgrounds. It’s a real ‘joining’, sociable culture, and the business is really committed to the important areas of diversity and inclusion, sustainability, well-being, and CSR (they have internal groups for all of these and more!) With direct access to the global team, you will have ample opportunity to progress your career to Senior Director, Partner, and above!
