Quantitative Associate Director - Complex problem solving

Job description

Are you a quantitative researcher looking to take an upwards career step?
Want to join a top-tier research agency & answer complex problems?
Keen to collaborate with senior decision-makers?

Our client is a top-notch Consumer Insights & Market Research Consultancy – experts at translating the complex into simple. Mirroring that of a management consultancy, they pull apart problems and draw upon multidisciplinary quantitative & qualitative thinking, design thinking and psychology to deliver solutions.
It’s highly strategic, interesting, and intellectually stimulating to work in direct partnership with C-suite decision-makers at many of Australia’s leading blue-chip organisations in financial services, technology, aviation, retail, and FMCG.

The role: Quantitative Associate Director
As the business grows, it has won new clients and projects and is excited to have quantitative researchers who want to accelerate their career trajectory join its SLT.
Everyone within the business (no matter what level) is involved in all projects, from the initial client proposal to delivering insights – designing research, managing clients, complex data analysis, insight generation, reporting, storytelling, thought leadership, mentoring and supporting new business development.
They take pride in the work and clients they partner with, choose projects they’re excited to work on and tap into individuals' passion areas. Recent projects span future strategy direction, pricing, customer experience, NPD, innovation, segmentation, and service design.
It’s the perfect role to fast-track your professional development – learning directly from senior directors, attending industry conferences, furthering your quantitative technical skills (segmentation, choice modelling, max-diff) and consulting problem-solving.
Culturally, they’re a cut above the rest and walk the walk when it comes to putting their people first and balancing. This is reflected in their industry-leading benefits—25+ days annual leave, wellness programmes, L&D, hybrid working, light, bright, open-plan offices, and an amazing leadership team.

The ideal requirements:
  • C5-8+ years of commercial market research agency experience
  • Strong quantitative analysis skills & tools – excel, Q and SPSS
  • Inherent interest in qualitative methodologies and design thinking
  • Excellent interpersonal skills & ability to build trusted client partnerships.
  • A strategic mindset with the ability to translate complex analysis into actionable insight
