Leaders in research and applied behavioural science, our client is a strategic insights consultancy that solves real-world commercial and social problems. 
  
Grounded in qualitative and quantitative research, they draw upon the latest thinking in behavioural economics, neuroscience, and strategy. They have a multimethod methodological toolkit that spans co-creation sessions, behavioural journeys, ethnography, survey design, RCTs, focus groups, and choice modelling.

They're all about getting to the root cause of behaviour and understanding the why—and delivering evidence-based insights that inform the design of products, services, experiences, social policies, communication campaigns, and behavioural interventions for commercial, social, and government clients.  
  
It's diverse, meaningful, and immensely rewarding work across topics alike—motivating people to plant more trees, informing the design of sustainable food packaging, reducing bullying in the workplace, improving financial literacy, and designing policies around mental health. 
  
Director – Behavioral Insights 
  
As the business grows, the team is looking for influential senior research and insights professionals to join them either in their Sydney or Melbourne office.  Part of an award-winning international collective yet independently owned group, they offer benefits of scale, with the flexibility, creativity, and agility of a boutique.
  
This is an influential role with a seat at the leadership table. You'll be at the heart of strategic decision-making for clients, designing complex customised qual/quant research projects, winning new business, leading a team, and elevating the agency's thinking. It will stretch your intellectual, analytical, strategic and creative thinking.
  
You'll have an overarching responsibility for: 
  • Leading the design and delivery of multimethod qual and quant projects 
  • Driving new business, writing winning pitches and proposals  
  • Strengthening relationships with S&G and commercial clients  
  • Run brainstorming, ideation sessions, workshops and presentations. 
  • Inspiring and leading a small team 
  • Thought leadership, presenting at industry conferences 
  • Adding a strategic lens to the business contributing to big picture strategy 
  • Managing a P&L 
  • Working closely with the MD and senior leadership team
 Desired candidate profile:  
  • Established senior qualitative or qualitative research specialists 
  • Previous market/social research or behavioural science agency experience 
  • Hands-on practitioners who love the craft 
  • Inherently curious, intelligent & articulate
  • Engaging presenters who express themselves with precision & originality. 
  • Thought leaders in strategy, research and behaviour insights   
  • Successful in winning business and client delivery 
  • Experienced people managers 
  • Genuine in their commitment to making the world a better place
