Job description

Looking to step into a senior role where you’ll have influence, variety, and the chance to shape high-profile work? This boutique insights and consulting firm is making waves across government, business, and retail – and they’re looking for another senior leader to join the team.

They deliver a broad mix of projects – from segmentation, brand positioning, CX, and tracking to product development, advertising and concept testing, and mystery shopping. Their work spans both B2B and B2C, with an in-house CX model that’s become a cornerstone of their B2B projects.

Why this team stands out:
  • Flat, non-hierarchical structure where everyone’s voice is valued
  • “Connect & Create” – their internal initiative that ensures all ideas are heard
  • A co-working space in Collingwood with yoga, a cinema, and beer on tap
  • Flexibility and hybrid working (without being fully remote)
  • Loyalty leave – an extra 5 days annually after 4 years’ service
 The role:
They’ve recently won a major multi-year community experience program at State level. This will be a cornerstone of the role, alongside a diverse mix of government and commercial ad hoc projects.

As Associate Director, you’ll:
  • Lead customised research projects end-to-end – from proposals through to polished client presentations
  • Work across quant (the focus) with scope to flex into qual if that’s part of your toolkit
  • Build and nurture strong client relationships – presenting with confidence and curiosity
  • Bring a strategic voice, adding value in client rooms and spotting opportunities organically
  • Guide projects spanning CX, segmentation, brand strategy, and more
Who we’re looking for:
  • An experienced custom researcher with solid quantitative chops (qual a plus)
  • Someone who thrives on client engagement, storytelling, and presenting
  • Curious, energetic, and collaborative – you’ll enjoy speaking up and contributing ideas
  • Social & Government experience would be an advantage, but not essential
This is a warm, ambitious, and supportive consultancy where you’ll work directly with the two Directors and play a key role in shaping their next phase of growth.
