Strategist - Cultural Insights + Human Behaviour

Job description

This role will stretch your left and right brain thinking, blending logic with creativity.
Experts at exploring what’s in people's heads and hearts, this independent, values-driven insights agency decodes culture and explores human behaviour.
Their approach to problem-solving is grounded in qualitative research, behavioural economics, cultural insights, AI and quantitative analysis.
They don’t take anything at face value. They tap into the subconscious influences that shape decision-making and aim to understand people's needs, wants and motivators.

The role: Strategist

Working in deep collaboration and partnership with clients, strategists are involved in all aspects of the consulting process – client brief, designing research, quantitative questionnaire design, qualitative facilitation, translating insights into stories, analysis, testing ideas, writing trends reports, storytelling, designing evidence-based interventions, and client presenting.
There is no on-size strategist here – the team is an eclectic mixture of behavioural scientists, qualitative researchers, brand experts, anthropologists, AI experts, quantitative analysts and designers from all corners of the globe.
B-Corp accredited everything they do is centred around making the world a better place and having a strong partnership with socially aligned commercial brands, charities, NGOs and government departments across industries from mental health to sustainability, education and technology.
They build brands, create experiences, plan futures, and work on interesting topics such like:
  • Understanding the future needs of Australian housing
  • Joining the dots between fashion and female empowerment
  • Exploring the relationships adults are forming with toys to gain comfort.
  • The changing patterns of media consumption
  • Exploring Gen-Z relationships with love and dating
  • Creating behaviour change captions to help teens stay safe online.
  • Understanding how to convert one-off donations to regular giving.
We’re looking to speak to individuals that have:
  • Proven commercial experience in behavioural economics, cultural insights, market research and strategy.
  • A multidisciplinary approach to problem-solving combining quantitative and qualitative and a desire to use new tools, tech and thinking.
  • Experience with quantitative survey design, analysis, facilitating workshops, in-depth interviews, focus groups, online communities, ethnography, and observations.
  • An understanding of behavioural tools – nudging, social forms, framing, heuristics, RCTs, scarcity, unconscious biases, rational choice, etc.
  • Empathy, curiosity and have their finger firmly on the pulse of trends, world events and pop culture
