Senior Consultant - Commercial Meets Social
Job description
This is a brilliant opportunity for a curious, insight-driven researcher to join a highly respected strategic research consultancy known for tackling some of Australia’s most interesting commercial and social questions.
With a team of around 30 researchers, this boutique agency is known for its genuinely collaborative, thoughtful and nurturing culture. You’ll work alongside an impressive senior leadership team and gain exposure to a huge variety of research challenges.
The work here is incredibly diverse. One week you might be exploring brand equity or segmentation for major commercial clients, the next investigating behaviour change, public policy or social attitudes. Projects span everything from financial services and energy to tourism, social policy and behavioural research.
Recent studies have included brand tracking for major banks, behavioural research around risky driving, energy transition and decarbonisation studies, tourism strategy, and choice modelling within insurance.
The role
This role would suit someone with around 3/4 years+ experience within a research agency who enjoys working across the full research process.

You’ll be involved in:
- Designing and delivering qualitative and quantitative research
- Writing discussion guides and questionnaires
- Managing fieldwork and project delivery
- Analysing data and drawing out meaningful insights
- Creating engaging reports and presenting findings to clients
- Supporting proposals and contributing to new business
- Experience working on customised research projects
- A dualist mindset - comfortable across both qual and quant
- Someone who enjoys working across commercial and social sectors
- Strong storytelling and insight development skills
- Curiosity, energy and a genuine passion for understanding people and behaviour
