Senior Account Director - Fast track to Director

The beauty of this opportunity is a boutique consulting firm offering a senior insights practitioner a fast pathway to directorship. In the org chart, this role sits underneath and supports the two Partners in an all-encompassing role managing the team, clients, and research projects.

The Agency:
  • Strategic Research Agency specialist in B2B and consumer markets, challenges and opportunities
  • Amazing team of c10 researcher specialists
  • Broad industry client portfolio such as Bunnings, Kathmandu, Officeworks, Good Year, Melbourne Water, Asahi, Lion.
  • Customised research approaches: segmentation, brand positioning, u&a, CX, brand tracking, product development, ad testing, concept testing, mystery shopping etc. No one size approach fits all here.

The role:
  
Fascinating research projects – You’ll be able to ask the right questions to break down complex problems and design multi-method quantitative and qualitative research programs to uncover crucial consumer insights.
Client engagement – the art of building relationships, and truly immersing yourself in partnership with an ever-growing client base
Collaboration – you love brainstorming to elevate and inspire your thinking and others. It leads to brilliant ideas, compelling proposals, and smashing deliverables, where you know you’ve nailed it.
Problem solving – you’re organised and can come up with structured plans to bring clarity and direction to the team by landing on a clear plan of attack.
Delivering strategy – You’ll will present relevant insights and deliver outputs that will guide change, drive understanding and help business thrive.
Team management – formal line management, in an informal way. Here, senior people are open, approachable, and work hands-on on all aspects of the research process. Passionate about bringing the best out of people personally and professionally.
Business development – it’s a natural extension of your client relationship skills. You can see bigger opportunities for your clients, and you know how to pitch your ideas confidently.
  
We’d love to talk if you have significant experience in another consumer insight role. We’ll get most excited about an agency profile with a diverse experience across industries and customised projects – zero off the shelf work here.
  
Key skills required in:
  • Expansive quantitative toolkit
  • Able to take ownership and lead projects from pitch to presentation
  • Demonstrated experience in managing and building strong client relationships
  • Experience of direct line management or desire to do so
  • Qualitative market research experience a bonus
  • Strong data analysis skills
  • Critical thinker able to synthesise data and draw powerful conclusions
  • Strong and influential presentation skills
