Researcher - Clientside! Architecture, Design & Planning

Job description

A leading architectural practice is on the lookout for a Researcher to join their Research & Innovation team and drive project performance and sector understanding, ensuring clients are equipped to face future challenges and emerging trends on a national level.
With studios across Australia and twelve dedicated sectors including planning & urban development, cultural, education, sport, defence and more, this firm are at the top of their game!
As a Researcher you will report into the National Head of Research and Development and play an integral role in the delivery of national programs with a focus on delivering short research projects for each of the national sectors on
a month by month basis.

The Role
  • Design and run research studies across sectors. Tailoring to the needs and preferences of internal stakeholders
  • Curate research from secondary (majority) and primary sources
  • Analyse data and produce written reports in InDesign
  • Write and curate research content
  • Produce graphics for reports and presentations
  • Assist with ideation workshops, collaborating with national sector leads and experts
  • Support the Head of Research on other adhoc research tasks
About you
A junior or mid-level researcher you will be someone who enjoys pulling together different data sets and making sense of everything. You will be confident in your writing abilities and have experience using secondary and primary data to tell stories. Quantitative and qualitive experience is preferred but a purely qualitative background will be considered. As well as having a strong grounding in research you will:
  • Have a brilliant attitude to work. Open, flexible, fun and hard working. You will be the type of person who takes pride in their work and loves what they do!
  • Some sort of design understanding. You don’t need to be an architecture expert but you will need something that links you to that world
  • Strong writing skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and able to build effective relationships
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Graphic design skills an advantage
