Research Manager – Social – Transport  (Sustainability / Impact / Public Health)

You will be part of a team providing evidence and strategic insights to policy makers, government bodies and agencies, transport operators and not-for-profit organisations.

Projects span:

  • Environmental sustainability and decarbonisation

  • The role of transport in society and communities

  • Public health and wellbeing

  • The impact of transport and infrastructure developments on businesses and the economy

The role will have a quantitative focus, with the opportunity to get involved in qualitative studies. Your work will contribute to the development and evaluation of policies to meet significant challenges. For example - research to inform transport developments to help meet net zero and encourage public transport use and active travel; digitisation and AI in the transport system and research to better understand the needs of people with disabilities when travelling. 

Key experience required to be considered:

  • Quant research skills gained within the social research sector

  • Managing quant projects from inception to delivery (any qualitative experience a bonus)

  • Strong report writing and presentation skills

  • Previous experience within the Transport sector OR a real interest to work in this area

  • Contributing to proposals and business development activities
