Research Manager - Online Qual Technology

Job description

Progressive and innovative, this agency bridges the gap between technology and research through its trailblazing video-based qual-quant tool.

Their bespoke technology platform enables qualitative and quantitative data to be gathered in real-time in an interactive, organic, and conversational style. Resulting in data that’s insightful, on the pulse and captures what people are thinking and feeling. it quantifies qualitative research.

Their client list includes some of Australia’s (and the world's) most loved brands, from small businesses to global household names across government and telcos to banking, FMCG brands, tech start-ups and beyond. Their insights inform brand positioning, product development, customer journey mapping, communications testing, person development, employee experience and campaign optimization!

As the business continues to grow, the team is looking for a Research Manager to join them part-time – offering the ultimate flexibility. Ideally, this role will be three days a week, and that can be tailored around your preference (either 3-full days or 3-days spread across 5-days). Based remotely, this role offers the flexibility to be located anywhere in Australia; the founders are based in Sydney so that occasional travel would be required.

The role: Strategic Insights & Research Manager

As a Research Manager, you’ll work hand-in-glove with your clients, technology specialists and designers to deliver best-in-class research processes that inspire ah-ha moments, inform strategy and effective decision-making.

You’ll have an overarching responsibility for client account and project management whilst leading end-to-end project execution, from initial briefs, designing research methodologies all the way through to final debrief, delivering the so-what’s and strategic storytelling.

All projects are entirely bespoke, so it’s essential that you have a proven ability to design qualitative and quantitative research projects, know how to ask the right questions and can translate large datasets into concise nuggets of information.

The essentials:
  • Prior commercial market research agency experience within a qualitative, or dualist capacity
  • A desire to work part-time within a flexible boutique.
  • Experience with online communities and technology platforms would be advantageous.
  • Exceptional organisational and project management skills – keeping all plates spinning.
  • An innovative, flexible, and entrepreneurial mindset – this agency is an established start-up that partners with people from varied tech, research & design backgrounds.
