Research Manager - B2B | Retail & FMCG Focus | Custom Insights
Job description
An exciting opportunity has opened up for a Research Manager to join a growing Custom Solutions team within a global insights and consulting business. This newly created role supports the team’s continued growth across Australia, New Zealand, and the broader APAC region.
This is a great opportunity for someone with a solid foundation in quantitative research and a strong analytical mindset who is ready to step into a more hands-on, commercially connected role.
About the Role
Working closely with a senior Research Director, you’ll take the lead on the delivery of custom B2B research projects. These projects focus on helping major FMCG suppliers and retailers strengthen their commercial relationships, giving voice to their partners, uncovering key friction points, and offering strategic recommendations.
You’ll manage a combination of nimble, high-frequency trackers and bespoke ad hoc projects. This role is hands-on, with an emphasis on analysis, reporting, and insight generation. You’ll also collaborate on proposal writing and join client debriefs, gaining exposure to senior stakeholders and strategic conversations.
What You'll Do
The team is based in Sydney, but work is fully flexible—this role can be remote, in-office, or hybrid depending on your preference. Occasional travel to Sydney for meetings or client sessions will be required.
