Quantitative Strategy Director - Illuminate What Matters!

Job description

Where cultural insight meets behavioural science. Where data fuels brilliant leaps.

An independent, future-facing insight and strategy consultancy is looking for a senior Quantitative Strategy Director to join its Melbourne team.
This is not a traditional quant role. This is about decoding people, culture and change, using rigorous analytics, behavioural science and tech-enabled thinking to help brands move boldly forward.
You’ll join a business that explores not just what people say, but what they do. One that blends cultural dynamics, implicit methods, AI-driven tools and commercial strategy to unlock opportunity.

The Opportunity
As a senior quant leader, you will:

Lead with intelligence
Design and direct sophisticated quantitative programs - from brand and comms tracking to segmentation, pricing, innovation, behavioural experimentation and campaign evaluation.

Turn complexity into clarity
Transform rich datasets into sharp, strategic narratives that inspire confident decision-making at board and C-suite level.

Shape the thinking
Act as a trusted client partner, influencing marketing and business strategy through evidence, empathy and commercial acumen.

Push the craft forward
Champion new methodologies, tech-enabled solutions and AI-enhanced approaches that elevate what quant can do.

Collaborate deeply
Work alongside cultural strategists, behavioural scientists and innovation specialists to deliver fully integrated, human-centred insight.

Why This Consultancy?

Culture-first, ego-free
A diverse, empathetic collective that values curiosity over hierarchy and collaboration over silos.

Behavioural science at its core
Insight here goes beyond surface-level data. Implicit techniques, contextual understanding and behavioural economics inform everything.

Proprietary thinking
From large-scale cultural studies to in-house AI solutions designed for the new economy, this team invests in intellectual property that keeps clients ahead of change.

Independently run. Independently minded.
Free to set high standards, run their own race and build long-term client partnerships.

People-led flexibility
Hybrid working, additional leave initiatives, progressive parental policies, structured learning programs and a strong commitment to wellbeing, inclusion and sustainability.

About You
You bring 8+ years’ experience in quantitative research, insights or advanced analytics within an agency or consultancy environment.
You’re:
  • Commercially sharp and strategically minded
  • Confident leading senior client conversations
  • Curious about people, culture and behaviour
  • Energised by methodological innovation
  • Comfortable mentoring others and raising the bar
  • As excited by AI and new data streams as you are by a beautifully designed segmentation
Most of all, you believe data is only powerful when it drives action.
If you’re ready to step into a role where quant is not the endpoint but the launchpad and where insight enables brands to make their next brilliant leap, this could be your move.
