Quantitative Research Strategist - Cultural Insights & Brand

Job description

This is a rare opportunity to stretch both your analytical mind and creative instincts—combining quantitative rigour with cultural strategy to help brands navigate change.

Our client is a B-Corp-certified, independent insights consultancy driven by values and purpose. Experts in exploring what’s in people’s heads and hearts, they decode culture, analyse behaviour, and inspire action.

As the world accelerates and complexities deepen, this agency takes a truly multidisciplinary approach—merging qualitative insight, advanced quant, BSCI, cultural strategy, AI, and social listening to uncover what matters now and what will matter next.

The Opportunity

This newly created role sits within the growing quantitative team in Sydney. You’ll be surrounded by a collaborative group of thinkers and doers, working across a range of commercial, social, and government clients.

We’re looking for a passionate, insights-led quantitative strategist who can bring data to life—translating numbers into narratives that inspire change. You’ll work across all elements of the research process in a dynamic, ad-hoc consulting environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build trusted client relationships—getting under the skin of their business challenges
  • Design surveys and strategic frameworks to uncover meaningful insights
  • Synthesize and contextualize quantitative data using triangulation techniques
  • Translate insights into compelling stories and clear, actionable recommendations
  • Present findings confidently to clients and stakeholders
  • Collaborate closely with qualitative, BSCI, cultural strategy and AI teams
Their commercial, social, government and NFP work spans:
  • Brand: Strategy, positioning, communications, CVP
  • Innovation: NPD, cultural foresight, journey mapping
  • Audience: U&A, segmentation
This team thrives on decoding human behaviour, cultural signals, and emerging trends to help clients stay relevant and resonant.

Our ideal profile:
  • 3+ years’ experience in quantitative research or strategy role (agency)
  • Confident managing ad-hoc and tracking projects from pitch to preso
  • Technically strong—comfortable with Q, SPSS, Excel
  • Naturally curious about culture, society, and what shapes human behaviour
  • Commercially astute with strong client management skills
  • Thrive in a multidisciplinary team and love solving complex problems
