Our client is a leading global market research agency seeking a strategic Research Director to lead the Sydney team to new heights.
  
Leveraging the power of insights to transform businesses, you will play a pivotal role in driving innovation, shaping strategies, and delivering actionable recommendations to esteemed clients.
  
With a client portfolio that includes top brands, you'll have the chance to work on stimulating brand, innovation and communication projects that influence business decisions on a global scale.
  
Your responsibilities as Research Director will include:
  
Strategic Leadership: As a leader of client work, you'll provide visionary guidance in developing opportunities, setting the direction for research initiatives and driving excellence in delivering actionable insights.
  
Client Collaboration: You'll forge strong relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor and strategic partner, understanding their needs, and delivering innovative research solutions that surpass expectations.
  
Methodological Expertise: Leveraging your expertise in quantitative research methodologies, you'll design research studies that uncover deep consumer insights, fuelling impactful business strategies. Often rooted in brand, communication and product/service innovation.
  
Team Management: You'll help foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment, nurturing talent, and providing mentorship to researchers, ensuring their professional growth and development.
  
Thought Leadership: As a Research Director, you'll stay at the forefront of industry trends, pioneering new approaches, and sharing your expertise through thought leadership content and industry conferences.
  
Commercial drive: Work on the current portfolio with strengths in Tourism, Banking, Insurance and Education. Knowledge and relationships in other industries, especially FMCG highly desirable.
  
What we are looking for:
  
  • Experienced insights practitioner with a breadth of industry and methodological experience
  • Expert in quantitative research methodologies
  • Prior research agency experience essential
  • Expert in brand positioning, brand & communications tracking, advertising evaluation, category dynamics, new product development.
  • Experience in mentoring and leading people
  • Commercial researcher to help win projects and lead projects
  • Ideally experience in FMCG
