Role Objective:

The role of Research Director delivers bespoke programs of research for Government, NFP and commercial organisations.

Working hand in hand with the amazing CEO, you can carve out autonomy to lead projects, clients and people whilst thriving on a constant stream of meaningful projects often rooted in behavioural change with a communications output.

Topics range from evaluating emergency relief to understand if it’s getting to the people that need it most; talking to CALD communities to eliminate the barriers faced accessing support post accidents; understanding regional communities to bolster tourism opportunities; brand strategy for a major university; behavioural change in the waterways for shark safety; developing communications to reduce gambling.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage client relationships – Government, Agriculture, Tourism, Banking, Education
  • Immerse yourself in the client business to establish credibility and knowledge
  • Confidently tackle complex multi-method research briefs
  • Expertly design and apply qualitative research methods – unlocking human truths through interviews, groups, workshops, ethnography, and online qual.
  • Weave in quantitative insights and data
  • Lift and elevate the work expertly seeing the strategic narrative to have the biggest impact for clients
  • Overseeing client deliverables and delivering influential strategy
  • Manage 1 direct report
Desired Candidate Profile:
  • Prior experience at a leading market or social research agency essential
  • Expert in primary qualitative research methodologies essential
  • A dual qualitative and quantitative background equally exciting
  • Broad experience of bespoke research solutions – brand strategy, customer experience, behavioural insights, communications strategy, usage and attitude, customer segmentation, innovation around service and products.
  • A critical and strategic thinker with excellent problem-solving skills
  • An expert storyteller, facilitator, and presenter
