The Role
Our client is currently seeking a Management Consultant to join their Sydney office working in their Research team, to support continuous improvement and change methodologies for their clients.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will have the ability to work analytically and creatively in a problem-solving environment. A high level of attention to detail is essential, along with an ability to produce accurately written reports and documents, and well-designed presentations. The Role
Our client is currently seeking a Management Consultant to join their Sydney office working in their Research team, to support continuous improvement and change methodologies for their clients.
Responsibilities
- Working with project leads across a variety of different projects
- Supporting project leads to develop research tools (questionnaires and discussion guides), to support business improvement initiatives
- Recommending the development of objectives, strategies and plans designed to optimise client experiences, increase satisfaction levels, and promote the effective use of client resources and capabilities
- Using our business Methodology, identify business and organisational gaps and / or opportunities and continually recommend opportunities for improvement
- Ensuring current systems, business capabilities and systems are analysed and evaluated effectively
- Prepare proposals which clearly outline recommendations to revise methods and procedures, change work flows, or refine or redefine job functions. These include clearly outlining recommended innovation and improvements to the organisation
- In close consultation with clients and their prior approval, assist with the implementation of any recommendations within their organisation
- Ensure adequate coaching and mentoring is provided to individuals and teams to build specific capabilities required to support continuous improvement using our businesses Methodology
- Analysing quantitative data using relevant software (Q, R, Excel, etc.) to evaluate current systems and capabilities and to identify and advise clients of business and organisational gaps and opportunities
- Supporting project leads to run and report on qualitative research sessions (focus groups and in-depth interviews) evaluate current systems and capabilities and to identify and advise clients of business and organisational gaps and opportunities
- Data analysis including being able to identify trends and actionable insights, to support recommendations for improvement
- Creating documents and reports which are client ready with minimal supervision from project leads
- Contributing towards developing proposals, presentations, and client pitches for new and existing clients
- Identify risks that may exist in projects and recommend solutions for clients;
- Have a basic understanding of financials and potential impacts on projects;
- Begin to identify opportunities for producing thought leadership pieces for external audiences;
- Developing an understanding of the organisations specific methodology and applying it in projects with assistance from project leads
The successful candidate will have the ability to work analytically and creatively in a problem-solving environment. The ideal candidate should have a curious mindset, active in keeping up to date with current affairs and possess the following:
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
- A proactive approach to work
- A high standard towards their work and of themselves
- Strong stakeholder management, both internally and externally
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Proficiency with IT, both hardware and software, including Microsoft Office suite, particularly with PowerPoint and creating presentations
- Bachelor Degree or higher qualification, or a minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role
- Proficiency in research-based software will be of benefit, e.g., Q, SPSS or R
- Strong organisation and methodical working practices
- Adaptability and ability to prioritise and work under-pressure; and
- A high level of professionalism and confidentiality is a prerequisite
