Job description
This Strategic Design and Innovation Consultancy helps social and commercial clients change by designing new products, services and processes that are futureproofed.

Their work is diverse, stretching, and influential – solving real-world problems for social, commercial and government clients like Google, Lululemon and Universal. Projects are exceptionally varied, from designing digital services to support youth mental health to developing a VR training programme for a restaurant chain and building future store designs for a retailer.
Multidimensional in their thinking, they know that it takes a mixture of minds and methodologies and draws upon thinking from qualitative research, strategy, management consulting, human-service design, trends, cultural insights, and hypothesis experimentation.

An Innovation Strategist is an integral client-facing role within the business, involved in all elements of projects from initial brief through to design, execution and final implementation. Your key responsibilities will encompass the following:
- Facilitating and de-coding client briefs
- Pulling apart questions to deeply understand the what and why
- Project management – budgets, timelines, supplier management
- Designing research plans
- Running qualitative insights from expert interviews to in-home observations, workshops, and co-creation sessions
- Translating insights into emotive stories and thought-provoking material such as innovation sessions and rapid-prototyping
- Managing prototypes development with suppliers
- Partnering with clients to implement and execute change
- Prior consulting experience in innovation, qualitative research, strategy, design thinking, branding, or planning
- Strong experience with qualitative methodologies – in-depth interviews, workshops, focus groups, observations, co-creation sessions, and ideation workshops.
- Exceptional project management and organisational skills; you keep things in flow!
- Comfortable being uncomfortable, stretching your thinking and working with ambiguity.
- An ability to make things happen – proactive, resourceful and tenacious.
- A desire to learn commercially, academically and emotionally.
- Keen sense of humour and good music taste (they take their playlists curation very seriously)
