Head of Consumer Insights & Strategic Marketing (12 month FTC) – Clientside –  European Retail/ Shopping

London (Hybrid, 3 office days), £80-110,000 pro rata + good benefits

An exciting clientside contract opportunity with a leading global developer/operator of shopping  destinations! With locations dotted across the globe, this flagship brand has an extensive portfolio across retail, exhibition venues, and office space. They pride themselves on their ethical, passionate, diverse, and collaborative culture and love to push boundaries when it comes to consumer insights.

Working with senior marketing and customer stakeholders across Europe, as Head of Insight & Strategic Marketing in a maternity cover contract,  you will manage a small team, leading the annual marketing action plan as well as customer insight strategy to ensure a consumer centric mindset is embedded across the business. Delivering quantitative and qualitative insights to maximise the understanding of consumers and retailer behaviour, you will also manage the creation of trading trends and customer behaviour insights, guiding key stakeholders on business, brand and marketing strategies. Partnering with external agencies on research programmes in customer loyalty, brand awareness and campaign evaluation across Europe as well as ad hoc studies, the role remains hands-on, so you must be happy to roll your sleeves up and get stuck into data too!

The ideal candidate will have a wealth of consumer insight experience with expertise in planning and managing an impactful consumer insight programme, ideally internationally.  Personality is absolutely key, you will be flexible in your communication style, able to persuade and influence a wide range of stakeholders who have a varying priorities.  Personable, with a proven track record in building relationships in complex organisations, you will also have a strong strategic and commercial mindset.
