Business Development Manager - Global Insights Consultancy

As a result of growth in the region, the Sydney team is looking for a consultative Business Development Manager to join and lead their successful sales division.
An influential role in the agency, ownership for driving the new business revenue, lead generation, client management, and people management. We’re looking for a hunter, that can win new business confidently whilst also growing existing partnerships.

Role Responsibilities:
  • Generating a portfolio of clients and new growth through new business development, networking, relationship building, hunting, upselling, and cross-selling
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans
  • Cultivate trusted client relationships, providing tailored solutions, advice and value-add to their business
  • Lead proposals, costing and budgets
  • Mentor, inspire and motivate a small team sales team – leading by example

The essentials
  • A proven track record of success with new business development and consultative selling  
  • A strong understanding of the market research, insights or data industry
  • Result-driven attitude =e with a successful track record of exceeding targets
  • A natural ability to engage with stakeholders across all levels
  • Commercial acumen with a proven ability to engage with C-level decision-makers
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
