Working with Buyers, Sales, Marketing and Category stakeholders to inform category strategy through a systematic analysis of shopper mindset, sentiment, and behaviour. Turning data into actionable strategies, challenges into opportunities, aspirations into realities!

A Variety of ad hoc briefs using rich, nuanced data set:
  • How can we premiumise our category? What are the opportunities?
  • How can we validate those opportunities by understanding our shoppers?
  • We can see growth in category X – what are the opportunities for shoppers to trade up?
  • Pricing promotions – to what extent should we be promoting quality v price?
  • What should my layout be? Am I blocking correctly?
  • How do shoppers behave on certain missions?
The role of Insights Manager
  • Manage a client portfolio of major FMCGs
  • Dive in to the (survey) data to tackle a mixture of customised briefs and regular reports
  • Synthesise data, pull out critical insights and deliver regular presentations and workshops
  • Develop your reputation as a specialist in the FMCG/Category Insights, advocating the Shopper.
  • Bring energy, ideas, and support to your teammates
Desired experience:
  • Previous experience in FMCG/ Retail/ Shopper Insights & Category Strategy
  • Ideally experience in another agency environment
  • Experience of survey data ideal (market research profile)
  • Experience of using POS, loyalty, panel data highly regarded
  • Passionate about FMCG trends and innovation
