Job description

This specialist research consultancy are on a growth trajectory, and with an impressive list of ongoing clients as well as some recent new wins, they are excited to bring on board a new Consultant to the team!

Working across a range of sectors including disability, aged care, retail, energy, education, healthcare and more, they love crafting bespoke solutions and are adept storytellers with a talent for taking complex information and translating this into actionable insights. They pride themselves on being smart, consultative thinkers with analytical and creative capabilities, and they truly care about integrity, teamwork and providing the best possible service to clients.

Culturally they are open, kind, flexible and fun and believe in tenacity and collaboration. The team get together 2-3 days a week in their CBD office but there is flexibility around this with employees being treated completely like adults and encouraged to work in the way that fits them. They place a big emphasis on learning and development opportunities both with in-house training through their excellence programme and externally via the Research Society.

So, what would you be doing?

As a Research Consultant you will be working across the full project process from brief to delivery, getting close to clients to really understand their needs and the questions they are asking. You will predominantly be working with quantitative methodologies, but there would be exposure to qualitative methods and plenty of opportunities to develop your skills in this area.
Project types will be super varied from campaign effectiveness, acquisition strategy and CX, to  behavioural insights and thought leadership. As your confidence and expertise grows, you will take on more responsibility for client management and big-thinking strategic pieces.

About you
With upwards or 2 years of experience in the research space already you will be able to support across the full project process including making methodology recommendations, designing surveys, and analysing quant data using Q and/or SPSS. You will love what you do and be eager to further develop your skills as a researcher and consultant. You will thrive when working alongside a team of smart, down to earth people who are fascinated with the world and how and why we make decisions. You will love delving inro data, unpicking knotty problems and will never take the easy or lazy route to insights.
