Job description

Hugley respected this full-service consultancy uses rigorous qualitative and quantitative research to inform decision-making and advance our understanding of Australian Society through world-class social research and evaluation.

Their insights inform government policies, services and programmes across education, healthcare, housing, sustainability, disability services, etc.

This newly created role will see you sitting within the business flagship project.  It’s a highly prestigious, influential national government initiative that provides evidence-based insights that shape health, education, community policies and programmes to support children and families during early education.

The project explores key topics – physical well-being, social competence, emotional maturity, cognitive skills, and communication, measuring Australian children’s development at different ages at a state and national level. The data from the project provides critical evidence to guide decision planning.

Given the project's complexity, with various projects running in conjunction and a wide variety of stakeholders, this role plays an important role in the project's success. Research & Operation Managers focus on delivering high-quality research, responsible for the end-to-end management, administration, execution, and delivery of projects.

Your days will be a mixture of:

  • Nurturing and managing internal and external stakeholder relationships
  • Project management, sitting in on meetings and distilling action plans, mapping timelines and budgets.
  • Assisting with quantitative research design, data collection, analysis, reporting and proposals
  • Effectively problem-solving operational and logistical issues
  • Proactively suggesting solutions to make projects run more smoothly and improve processes.

This unique role would suit a market researcher with strong project and operations experience and a desire to see a highly influential project run from inception through to competition. The essentials:

  • Proven experience in project management and operations with a solid understanding of market and social research.
  • An eye for detail, an ability to see the bigger picture and respond to change.
  • Experience using statistical packages – Q, SPSS, Excel or other platforms.
  • Client-focused mindset, able to build trusted relationships.

The culture of this organisation is grounded in its values – empowering, ethical, respectful, and impactful and this is reflected in their brilliant benefits – 6+ weeks annual leave, study leave assistance, flexible working, personalised development plans, social events and the opportunity to shape the future of Australia.
