Really exciting opportunity for a communicative Data Scientist seeking further development to join this forward thinking Hedge Fund!

This Hedge Fund takes an innovative approach to how companies work in order to back its investment advice; as such they make great use of both market research and data science techniques to enhance insights. Joining its Data Science team, you'll get immersed in a wide range of ever-changing projects (it really is a case of no two days being the same) where your role is to essentially leverage data to uncover insights that enhance 'real world' investment decisions. In so doing you'll undertake the full life cycle process: from analysis through to presentation.

Whilst having a data science background in the investment sector isn't essential, it is useful (although so is a data science background in corporate or marketing). What's more important is a data science skillset comprising of already honed abilities ideally using Python, the cloud, machine learning/AI and data visualisation. Moreover, superlative communication skills are essential: this role doesn't work without its occupier having clear, concise interactive skills as you are often required to enlighten those less versed in data science techniques of your insightful conclusions and reasoning behind them - this is absolutely pivotal!

The Data Science team itself covers areas such as investment research, technology, machine learning, generative AI and portfolio analysis, and they will develop you in some of these areas, in concurrence with your interests. You'll be joining a hugely successful Hedge Fund which over many years has built on its success by making the right investment calls, but also investing in its own people. Hence this is a great chance for an aspiring Data Scientist to take that next integral step to fulfil their potential. Unfortunately future sponsorship or remote based/relocation opportunities aren't on offer here, so this role best suits those with long term/indefinite UK residency who are able to work in London the majority of the week.
