Qualitative Strategy Consultant - Big Brands. Big Questions.
Job description
Join a Strategy Insights Consultancy that is expert in solving marketing challenges. They leverage consumer insights to help big brands answer big questions, such as:
Why is my brand losing relevance?
What can I do to innovate and grow?
How can I price more effectively?
How do consumers perceive my category and brand?
What is the future of retail?
Digging deep into consumer behaviour, culture, opinions and attitudes, you’ll love solving such questions with entirely bespoke research solutions. This new role sits in their expert qualitative team.
Key Responsibilities:
You’re a cultural sleuth. Passionate about talking, observing people and developing a deep contextual understanding of behaviour and motivation.
You have a previous experience in a similar strategic insights agency, so you understand (and have experience of) the flow of a research project: proposal writing, designing discussion guides, setting up fieldwork, facilitation, data analysis, generating strategy, reporting and presenting.
There’ll be heaps you’re still learning but the fundamentals are there. Now, you’re looking for a home where you can stretch and develop with fantastic training, exposure to new methods, new ways of thinking and exciting client problems.
We’d love to see experience of working with commercial clients as this team works with major Retail, FMCG, Telecommunications and Quick Service Restaurant clients.

Key Responsibilities:
- Help to manage and strengthen client relationships
- Help unpack client problems and design research frameworks
- Work closely with recruitment suppliers to set up qual fieldwork
- Jump into qualitative fieldwork – facilitate groups, workshops and ethnography
- Help manage online communities and moderate online discussions
- Conduct thematic analysis of qualitative data
- Synthesise, analyse and contextualise data to craft insights stories
- Craft impactful presentations, reports, videos and other deliverables
