Research Director – Social and Government Research
$150,000 - $180,000 + super
This thought-provoking market research agency boasts a public sector team of qualitative and quantitative specialists with extensive experience in using research to appraise government initiatives, review and develop communications and marketing campaigns, support policy development, evaluate services and generally understand community needs.
Their clients are a fascinating mix of government agencies and departments, charities and not-for-profit organisations.
The important work they do has a real impact on the community as they work on sensitive and current social issues such as health, ageing, drugs, education, housing, immunisation and smoking.

Your role will have many facets but the key angles to it are:
• Lead the design and delivery of a range of cross methodology projects for major clients
• Playing a big role in tendering and winning projects for the business through your knowledge, presence and network at the state level and in Canberra
• Building a talented team from hiring through to training and inspiring
• Leading thinking on tools, methods and techniques
This is a rare role for a highly experienced practitioner of market research within the social sphere to assume a senior commercial role and lead a team as a member of the overall senior management team.
You are the ideal candidate if you have 10-15years+ market research agency experience in the social and government sector. This means you will have worked for multiple clients, juggled their needs and worked to commercial deadlines. You will have a proven track record of writing winning proposals and managing a portfolio of clients. You will have expert local knowledge of the federal and state government in Australia and you will have a depth and breadth of experience across multiple projects, topics and audiences.
This will be an engaging, varied and important role in a high-profile team, part of an established agency in Sydney.
