Sydney $50,000 - $75,000 + super + bonus
For 40 years, this strategic business intelligence firm has worked with the world’s top organisations. They offer syndicated and ad hoc services to assist in strategic planning and identify potential opportunities in developed and emerging markets. Their reports provide market research on consumer products, commercial industries, demographics trends and consumer lifestyles across Australia.
Reporting into the Director, the key client consultant will work within the sales division of the business. The primary focus in this position is to assist in the prioritization and execution of strategies set by the globally focused executives. In this role, it is essential to have a healthy knowledge of the product and be able to understand and explain the databases and consulting capabilities to your clients. The ability to organize and understand clients is key in this consultative role. You will apply and design unique solutions in order to address client’s specific needs. Excellent at building relationships; you will create deep networks inside client organisations with consistent and proactive dialogue with multiple decision makers. Finally, you will have responsibility for an annual upsell target as well as assisting to secure contract renewals. This role will suit someone who is able to use a consultative approach to identify points of engagement; going beyond providing data to applying industry insights for problem solving.
What do you need?
To qualify for this role, you should have:
- At least 4 years of sales experience
- A bachelor’s degree
- Strong communication and negotiation skills/the ability to interact with Directors, VP and C-level executives as well as internal colleagues
- Solution and value selling acumen
