Principal Consultant (Research Manager) - Public Affairs/Political Intelligence - London
Really exciting opportunity for a Research Manager with strong understanding of policy research, public affairs, political monitoring to oversee public affairs consulting at this well known group. Supported by a real-time content monitoring service, you will lead political intelligence efforts in one or more policy areas, including providing daily written updates, commentary and ad-hoc longer written analysis pieces, as well as face-to-face briefings where appropriate. Taking personal responsibility for a portfolio of clients as a primary trusted advisor, you will also manage a team of political consultants each with responsibility for their own clients and topics too; thus you'll also be involved in coaching, upskilling and mentoring your team to improve their analytical skills, and in developing new formats and ideas for written insight for clients. A background in policy research & analysis, political awareness and insight, with understanding of the public affairs sector and solid knowledge of one or more of the following areas of UK public policy: defence, foreign affairs, international development, cyber security, and energy are key!
