This is a rare opportunity to bring your economic & business analysis skills to this specialist consultancy, one of the first in the UK to apply environmental economics to public policy and business challenges. This role is wide-ranging, as you will analyse economic, market and business data to provide consultancy and advice to NGOs, think-tanks and government bodies.
As a Senior Environmental Economist, you will join a team of specialists and take on a leading role in the research studies. You will utilise your in-depth knowledge of environmental and energy policy, as well as your top economics experience and background to advise top clients and really make a difference in the challenges they face. Ideally you will be a specialised professional with top expertise in areas such as policy design, chemicals policy, economic evaluation & appraisal and/or accounting for natural capital. Your charismatic personality and top communications skills will make you a natural leader for the team and for your clients, as you will mentor junior team members whilst also nurturing strong relationships with your clients.
To qualify at this level, you will have 5+ years’ experience in working in an energy/environmental consultancy, think-tank or NGO, as well as an Economics degree (or MSc) and in-depth knowledge of environmental and energy policy. Ideally you will have previous experience in business development, as well as in team and project management. Top stats and analytics skills will be a must have for this position.
