Research Strategist - Youth Brands - Creative Consultancy
Central London £33 - £40,000 + benefits
“Strategic [strəˈtiːdʒɪk] ADJECTIVE: relating to the identification of long-term or overall aims and interests and the means of achieving them.” This is what the dictionary says, yet it is so over-used it is losing its true meaning. So many agencies say they are ‘strategic’, but can they really back it up? Well, this boutique really can.
Specialising in youth & kids markets, this agency stands out as a thought-leader and guiding light in this complex and fickle sector. They are an eclectic group of former planners, researchers and marketers who work collaboratively to solve some of the most highly complex client brand-marketing problems, using the full toolbox of online and offline methods, plus a few of their ‘home-grown’ creative techniques. The result: a set of recommendations and call to action for the client on how to achieve their short and long-term brand marketing objectives, backed by real analysis, interpretation and understanding of the young consumer’s mind.
As a Research Strategist you will be an important part of a vibrant team, working in the area of kids, family and youth research. No two projects will be the same, so variety is the theme and versatility the key requirement. You should also be able to use your research to see the long-term marketing implications and with knowledge of the kids (ages 4-19) and family market, you will be bring added strategic value to projects through your understanding of consumer audiences, child development and/or psychology.
Probably at around Research Manager level, you should have a sound Qualitative grounding and be at the stage where you are leading accounts and advising clients across the marketing spectrum. There is also ample scope to help shape the direction of the business which prides itself on sharing and adopting new ways of working in a collaborative and supportive environment. Coupled with an excellent salary and great prospects as the business continues to grow, this is a seriously good move for a Qualitative specialist craving a break from the norm.
