The Agency:

The position sits within a nippy strategic research agency who partner with FMCG brand owners, major banks, mobile communications companies, entertainment brands and anything in between, to design research briefs to understand people and apply behavioural insights to business challenges in marketing or branding or innovation.

Top Live Projects:

• Customer Profiling to identify and understand customer segments for a major telecommunications brand
• Testing strategic brand positioning of the launch of a new games console
• Understanding the emotional and behavioral triggers to subscriptions for a media group
• New product development for a major auto brand
• Category deep dives and U&As as the foundation of brand development for a global FMCG

Employing both quantitative and qualitative research methods, and integrating customer data and contextual information, this is a progressive environment to work and play in.

This vacancy sits on the quant side of the business.

The Day to Day:

You’ll work with clients on their needs from kick-off meetings to presenting project findings and crucially – how to apply those findings. You’ll be able to think creatively and laterally about designing the best research methodology and executing your approach, through to rigorous and accurate number crunching. This is data driven strategy, so for all your abilities to work with the quant data, you’ll also enjoy brainstorming the commercial application.

Core Skills & Requirements:

First and foremost, you’ll be a great thinker – with a rigorous, critical and analytical brain. You’ll enjoy working as a team as you have plenty of your own ideas but it’s more fun collaborating.

You’ll be methodological sound – confidently able to design a range of survey based research, with strong technical skills using analytical software – SPSS/Q etc.

Previous/commercial experience working in another consumer market research agency is essential please.

The role is based in central Sydney. Excellent training is provided- internal and external. It’s social with team lunches and treats and fruit provided for a healthy mind! The salary is flexible and bonuses in addition to extra holiday over the Christmas period provided.
