My client is a leading light in market insight and brand consultancy. Their premise is to deliver ‘market inspiration’ to some of Australia and the world’s most successful and forward-thinking companies across the service, technology, retail and FMCG sectors
They are a thriving agency made up of a multi-disciplinary team of researchers, designers, ethnographers, marketers and brand strategists who collectively offer brand consultation of unparalleled quality. They believe a cultural insights is a very important piece of the picture.
You will take a pivotal role applying methods of cultural analysis, in particular semiotics, to brand issues across categories and markets. Working closely with the CI Director, your task will be to develop and implement strategic frameworks to identify behavioural patterns, cultural meanings, societal themes and codes which can be leveraged for brand innovation, positioning and development. In a fully client facing role you will help sell in and deliver work to help promote cultural insight as a new, exciting and important approach in brand consultancy.
• A creative and academic thinker able to analyse and deconstruct culture
• Expertise in cultural analysis such as cultural studies, sociology, anthropology, semiotics
• Great writing skills
• Great project management skills
• Happy to work in a hybrid cultural and consumer research role
• A journalistic background would also be of interest
