Qualitative Research Manager – Shanghai

A new opportunity for an experienced Qualitative Research Manager to join this global leader with innovative approaches and help to deliver insightful and actionable data to high profile clients in a variety of consumer sectors! This company has eight offices dotted across the globe and is the product of a recent merger between two world-leading agencies focussed on packaging, shopper marketing and new product innovation.
At Qualitative Research Manager level, you will work closely with your colleagues in China and be responsible for the implementation of cutting-edge projects from inception to delivery throughout the region. As such you must be able to moderate in Mandarin fluently and have business-standard English, and ideally have previous experience servicing Chinese clients. You will have the opportunity to utilise a vast range of methodologies and tools (such as virtual reality systems) and combine both behavioural observation of shoppers with follow-up in depth interviews to really dig deep and understand shopper behaviour with the aim to enhance the marketing communication on your clients!
To apply for this opportunity, you will also need:
• 5-6 years’ experience in qual consumer research (various methodologies) – from client briefing and design to presentation
• Excellent written and analytical skills
• Native Chinese speaker
• A real passion for research and human behaviour
• Experience in retail, consumer and packaging research preferred but not essential.
