Qualitative Research Director – Leadership of Unconventional insights
Singapore, SGD11,000 – SGD14,000pcm + bonus
Take charge in an unconventional consumer research agency that has always bucked the trend. Never rigidly applying a set approach, they work hard to define the right questions and then think creatively and laterally about how to best understand the consumer behaviour. It is not an agency that focusses on using traditional techniques but instead has a more ethnographic slant towards observation, uses mobile, apps, diaries, text and a developing assortment of quantitative and qualitative tools and techniques.
We are looking for a Director to act as a 2IC to the MD and take on responsibility for the qualitative team comprised of a mixture of junior and senior consultants. You’ll have the experience to act with authority in guiding, shaping and growing people at varying levels so that the client deliverables continue to surpass expectations.
Still a practitioner, with a love of people and their idiosyncrasies, social trends and cultural differences, you’ll inspire the type of behavioural thinking which when applied through a commercial lens leads to progressive client outcomes in brand innovation, product development and marketing. This means over the course of your career you’ll have designed and applied a wide range of qualitative tools on a wide range of client problems and will come fully charged with applicable ideas and experience.
Being able to work hand in hand with the MD is also important to deliver sales growth, evolve the offering and maintain key relationships with a brilliant client base spanning technology, luxury, entertainment and media.
