As a Research Manager you will enjoy a high profile with top-name film & entertainment clients. You will need a strong quantitative grounding and the ability to tease out the meaning behind the data and deliver your recommendations to a wide range of client audiences, many of whom will not be research professionals and therefore require your ability to give them the “story” behind the numbers. Projects will be wide-ranging, from audience attitudes to brand awareness and customer experience, therefore requiring versatility and excellent project and team management skills.
Probably at Research Manager-level, you should have a good quantitative grounding and be familiar with a wide range of project types. While experience of the entertainment sector is desirable, it is not essential as the key requirement is a strong Quant professional and client manager who has a demonstrable passion and enthusiasm for the film and entertainment world.
