Clientside opportunities are few and far between, and this one particularly stands out as it’s to join a not for profit organisation, providing financial advice within the areas of pensions and savings. Research is an important function within the organisation, and you will play a key supporting role to the Research Lead driving forward challenging and engaging research programmes. This includes research projects on a wide variety of pensions and saving policy issues, as well as strategic studies. This role will provide an opportunity to develop in-depth expertise in a key area of social policy whilst at the same time gaining insight and understanding of the financial services sector. In terms of background, you will ideally have worked within a social policy environment for a trade association, government department or think tank and have some understanding and appreciation for the pension environment. Prior experience of both quantitative and qualitative research methods would be ideal and you will be comfortable analysing and distilling insights.
