This is a "hybrid "role, being based in a consultancy/agency but where fieldwork and project management is commissioned, leaving you to focus on the best bits: interpreting the results to deliver real, meaningful insight to senior-level clients across management and marketing.
Variety will be a feature of this position as no two marketing problems will be alike, requiring a fresh approach to each problem and a real understanding of your clients requirements. Probably at around Research Manager level, you should have background in technology and/or business markets in either an agency or client environment. You should also have an understanding of how to use quantitative and qualitative research plus the ability to tease out the meaning behind the data to give clients a real insight into their customers and markets.
