Research Manager - Global Communications Advisory

Our client is a well-established international strategic advisory and communications consultancy that delivers actionable, targeted, and implementable recommendations that shape decision-making and behaviour change.    
They are highly respected for their expertise in political polling, crisis management, behaviour change, reputation, stakeholder engagement and opinion polling. They partner with global FT100 commercial clients across sectors (Telecommunications, Utilities, Entertainment, Sport, FMCG, Retail and Insurance), political parties, and government affiliations.

Research Manager:
Cutting-edge research is at the heart of what they do. The research division investigates audiences' drivers, motivations, and behaviours, allowing them to uncover persuasive messages that shift behaviour. They utilise cutting-edge qualitative and quantitative methodologies – designed, run and analysed in-house from community, consumer and stakeholder surveys to expert interviews, workshops, and focus groups. Working in continuous partnership with clients and cross-function teams, they provide insights, not just commentary.
This role would suit a commercially astute research professional who can integrate qualitative and quantitative research, behavioural economics, and consulting, utilising people skills, intellect, and critical thinking.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Build trusted relationships with commercial and political clients across all sectors 
  • Explore and diagnose business problems
  • Apply quantitative and qualitative methods to understand the behaviour
  • Design and manage fieldwork
  • Triangulate, synthesise and interpret data to uncover patterns
  • Design evidence-based interventions, campaigns and solutions
  • Inspire clients to action
  • Work cross-functionally across the campaigns, advisory and PR departments 
  • Managing, mentoring, and developing juniors 
  • Driving new business through proposal writing and pitching
An influential role with uncapped room to grow and fast-track your consulting career trajectory, it’s essential that you have the following:
  • Prior commercial consulting experience in market research or management consulting 
  • Proven experience leading projects from pitch through to presentation
  • Confidence presenting to c-suite executives, shaping decision making and challenging assumptions 
  • A hands-on approach, comfortable with designing and analysisng qualitative and quantitative data  
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong storytelling skills, your able to translate complex concepts into simple insights
  • A desire to grow within a fast-paced environment
