Qualitative Insights Consultant - Cultural & Behavioural Strategy

Harnessing Culture + Behaviour + Technology
We’re looking for a passionate insights-led strategist. With some previous experience in qualitative research methodologies in a commercial consulting firm.
What you’re looking for are super intriguing marketing and business challenges! You totally buy in to the idea that to truly understand what’s important to people you must explore culture (attitudes, beliefs, values, motivations) and behaviour (subconscious drivers unearthed by behavioural economics theories). The icing on the cake is bring tech-enabled so you can use machine learning to mine digital data at scale!
Project examples include: Exploring the future of cities and designing and intuitive new living precinct; optimising digital product experience (UX ) for a big tech firm; Brand & communication strategy for a major retailer; Understanding the role of humour for a major media firm; Understanding behaviour and improving road safety for a government department.
Role responsibilities:
  • Client facing role – building rapport and understand business
  • Help to unpack client problems and design research frameworks
  • Strong project management skills helping to liaise with fieldwork suppliers and set up fieldwork
  • Qualitative fieldwork – groups, workshops, ethnography, social media etc
  • Get involved and learn about cultural insights, behavioural theory and big qual data
  • Synthesising, analysing and contextualising data
  • Helping to create impactful strategies in creative, inspiring stories
Our Ideal Profile:
  • Prior experience in insights led strategy/market research agency essential
  • Demonstrated experience in qualitative research methods essential
  • A keen interest in consumer behaviour
  • Analytical and critical thinker
  • Strong writing and communication skills
  • Vibrant, energetic, excitable curiosity in the world and people
  • Passionate about using insights to create amazing marketing, brand, innovation and experience outcomes.
