Insights Manager - Financial Services Research

Are you a commercially minded quantitative researcher with a passion for financial services and client storytelling?
A fast-growing global insights and consulting business is looking for an Insights Manager to join its specialist financial services research team. Working with leading banks, fintechs, insurers and payments brands, you’ll deliver strategic insights that influence major business decisions across Australia and internationally.
This is an ideal opportunity for a researcher with 3–5 years’ agency-side experience who enjoys combining rigorous quantitative analysis with strong client engagement and presentation skills.

The Opportunity
You’ll work across a mix of syndicated and bespoke research projects, helping major financial services brands better understand customer behaviour, market trends and competitive dynamics. The role offers exposure to large-scale consumer datasets, strategic consulting work, and senior stakeholder engagement.
You’ll be involved in:

  • Managing and delivering quantitative research projects end-to-end

  • Analysing complex data and translating findings into compelling commercial insights

  • Designing research approaches and contributing to methodological innovation

  • Presenting insights and recommendations directly to clients

  • Building trusted client relationships and understanding strategic business challenges

  • Supporting and mentoring junior team members

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, highly commercial environment

About You
We’re looking for someone who combines strong technical research capability with confidence in front of clients.
You will likely have:

  • Around 3/4 years’ experience in market research, insights or analytics

  • Strong quantitative research skills

  • Experience using Q (essential) and ideally SPSS or DisplayR

  • Previous exposure to banking, financial services, fintech or insurance research

  • Excellent storytelling and presentation skills

  • Confidence managing client conversations and presenting insights

  • Strong commercial thinking and problem-solving ability

  • Experience working in an agency or consulting environment
