Director - Applied Behavioural Science
Job description
This is an opportunity to join a next-generation consultancy operating at the intersection of behavioural science, AI and strategic execution — helping organisations solve complex behavioural challenges with greater speed, depth and precision than traditional consulting models allow.
Backed by significant investment and entering an exciting growth phase, the business combines behavioural expertise, advanced technology and hands-on consulting to bridge behavioural diagnosis with real-world activation for major organisations across education, financial services, healthcare, retail and beyond.
We’re now looking for a Director-level Applied Behavioural Scientist to play a key role in their next chapter of growth.
This is a senior, highly consultative role for someone who loves being close to the work — commercially minded, intellectually rigorous and comfortable leading projects from problem definition through to intervention design and execution.
You’ll partner directly with ASX-listed clients, work closely with engineers and collaborate with behavioural scientists to help shape how applied behavioural science evolves in an AI-enabled world.
What you’ll be doing:
Leading complex behavioural science engagements end-to-end
Designing and overseeing mixed-methods research grounded in behavioural theory
Translating insight into behavioural priorities, interventions and action plans
Advising senior stakeholders on behaviour change strategies
Building trusted client relationships
Driving news business opportunities
Helping shape the future of applied behavioural consulting
What we’re looking for:
Deep expertise in applied behavioural science, behavioural economics or psychology
Strong consultancy experience within behavioural science and/or insights environments
Excellent qualitative and quantitative research capability
Someone still highly engaged in delivery — not operating at arm’s length from the work
Commercial acumen and confidence growing client relationships
Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills
High standards, strong ownership mentality and genuine care for client outcomes
Someone energised by ambitious and fast moving environments
Strong enthusiasm for AI-enabled ways of working
This is a chance to join a consultancy at a high-growth stage and play a genuine role in shaping what comes next — the work, the clients and the platform itself.
If you’re excited by the idea of building something meaningful at the forefront of applied behavioural science, we’d love to hear from you.
