And they are always looking for new ways to find answers, whether through cultural insights, trends forecasting and ethnography or applying neuroscience, behavioural sciences, or simply different ways of approaching problems.
    
The role: Qualitative Cultural Insights Strategist 
This opportunity sits within Sydney's fastest-growing qualitative & cultural insights team. They translate human experiences, culture and trends into insights that shape user experience, purchase journeys, branding, communication campaigns and thought leadership for cutting-edge commercial brands and social enterprises. 
The projects they work on are amazing, truly at the intersection of culture, human behaviour, and brands. We’re looking for qualitative thinkers who can't wait to sink their teeth into the awesome projects they do, such as: 
  • Researching perceptions of 90s nostalgia and how it is changing the beauty industry 
  • Driving engagement for a non-alcoholic beer brand  
  • Exploring the history of queer design and its role in activism
  • Joining the dots between fashion, and female empowerment   
  • Understanding Music's power in restoring memories lost to dementia. 
  • Identifying new themes in parenthood 
  • Studying if our backgrounds and upbringings affect our experience of work.
 Here's what we're looking for: 
  • Qualitative experience – you live and breathe and are comfortable running depths, focus groups, ethnography, online communities and/or workshops. 
  • Hands-on researchers – who have exposure to all elements of projects, from proposals through to presentation 
  • A curious mindset – you love looking at problems from different perspectives, using various methodological tools and stretching your thinking. 
  • Top-notch writing skills – you can translate data into impactful and concise insights and tell a story, whether in the form of a report, blog, trend update or presentation.
  • Insights, insights, insights – you'll be able to analyse what consumers say to shape outputs that go beyond the obvious to land the real human insights.
  • An understanding of numbers and wider research methods – their qual work is full service integrated qual and quant.
